The 2005 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon is our second wine from this sub-appellation of the Napa Valley. We chose this district because of its location high above the floor of the Napa Valley, nestled on a rocky outcropping, with Pritchard Hill to the north and Stags’ Leap District to the southwest. This wine expresses its mountain terrain and the long 2005 growing season very stylishly. The aromas are packed with dark berries, spice and cassis. The palate is rich, yet balanced with smooth tannins and a lingering finish.
